We have clarity of vision when our acuity is 20/20. This is not new information on vision.

: Reading requires the coordination of movement in two eyes. We need Functional Vision evaluations in our schools -- to check for "learning vision."  Our new approach to reading addresses convergence excess, convergence insufficiency, oculomotor dysfunction, etc.  Coordinated functional eye movement is necessary to read.

With your help, Future Visions Youth Development, Inc. will provide what students need to read! Make the difference in the lives of our children. They will thank you by learning.

Change lives….change futures!

Your donations are currently funding the Maine Model in Learning Vision program we began in Maine Schools in 12/09. With this data we are closer to your state schools and helping a lot of kids to read with fluency very soon.

Make this program available to all public schools!

Letter from the President (FVYD):

Hello, I’m Deborah Miller. Equalizing opportunity to learn through Functional Eye Vision evaluations will help us to change the world for 20% of the population, with a new "Learning Vision" in education!

As president, I, with a team of Doctors, (Optometrists, FCOVD) developed THE MAINE MODEL IN LEARNING VISION program addressing Functional Vision issues, the Learning Vision for all public schools. We implemented this program in the Palm Beach Florida public schools, successfully.  We ran the program initially in four schools... those children who had "Learning Vision" issues... who were in danger of falling behind and failing, are nurses and teachers now!

Several of the children in those schools, told us after we fixed their vision, that this is what they had been seeing (and their eyes have 20/20 acuity):

Its about learning vision-

The first child said many letters repeated (not just the b’s and r’s as displayed here). No, this is not Dyslexia… his eyes are healthy and normal.

  • The second child saw the first letter of each sentence repeat…(digit span and white space issues)
  • The third had a shadowy effect around the sentence. (focusing unstable)
  • The fourth saw movement of letters.
None of these issues exists for these kids any longer! These children did not know these problems did exist at all until we found their functional vision issues and fixed them. What was equal about their opportunity in education before their "Learning Vision" issues were fixed?

Sincerely,
Debbie Miller MPS
